Equinix's expanding footprint in Africa is empowering African organizations to go global while fueling international expansion into South Africa. Our new JN1 IBX facility in Johannesburg is a state-of-the-art 4.0 MW data center providing 690+ cabinets and more than 20,000 gross square feet of colocation space.
With the availability of Equinix Fabric® and Equinix Network Edge® in Johannesburg, customers will be able to interconnect physical and virtual digital infrastructure, deploy multicloud networking and more across over 50 global locations, all while reducing network complexity and cost and increasing resiliency quickly and easily.
CLEAN AND RENEWABLE ENERGY
We take seriously our responsibility to build sustainability into our business, and we actively work to face the world’s most important environmental challenges. To combat global warming, we are decreasing our reliance on fossil fuels. Since 2011, our more than $129 million in energy efficiency investments have avoided roughly 430,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions (mtCO2e).
